【摘要】:Theapproximateacidityofusedelectricalinsulatingoilsisanestimateofthetotalacidvalueoftheoil.Asacidvaluesincrease,oilqualitydecreases.Thisisusuallyduetooxidationoftheoilwhileinservice.Ingeneral,acidicby-productsproduceincreaseddielectricloss,increasedcorrosivity,andmaycausethermaldifficultiesattributabletoinsolublecomponentscalledx201C;sludge.x201D;Thistestmethodisadaptedtoaspecificvolumeofoil;totalacidvaluesof0.05to0.5mgofpotassiumhydroxidepergramofoilisarangewhichisfunctionallysignificant.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationoftheapproximatetotalacidvalueofusedelectricalinsulatingliquidshavingviscositieslessthan24cStat40x00B0;C.Itisasimpleprocedurethatcanbeappliedinthefield.Whereaquantitativeneutralizationvalueisrequired,useTestMethodD664orTestMethodD974.Thesetestmethodsshouldbeappliedinthelaboratory.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
