【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverszinccoatingsappliedbythehot-dipprocessonironandsteelhardware.Thehot-dipgalvanizingprocessconsistsofpartsbeingimmersedinmoltenzincforasufficienttimetoallowametallurgicalreactionbetweenironfromthesteelsurfaceandthemoltenzinc,resultingintheformationofZn/Fealloylayersbondingthecoatingtothesteelsurface.Thisspecificationisintendedtobeapplicabletohard-wareitemsthatarecentrifugedorotherwisehandledtoremoveexcessgalvanizingbathmetal(freezinc).Coatingthicknessgraderequirementsreflectthis.Thisspecificationisapplicabletoordersineitherinch-poundunits(asA153)orinSIunits(asA153M).Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyexactequivalents.Withinthetextofthisspecificationandwhereappropriateappropriate,SIunitsareshowninbrackets.Eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheotherwithoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.InthecaseoforderinSIunits,alltestingandinspecitionmethodasappropriate.InthecaseofordersinSIunits,suchshallbestatedtothegalvanizerwhentheorderisplaced.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
